675353 2008-06-04 10:36:00 files are in place, bios sees harddrive ,boot order is correct etc
it simply states ""disk boot failure, INSERT system disk and press enter"
this is what itwas saying when i was using 32bit boot files and now 64bit boot files

is it possible that im using the wrong entries in boot.ini?

675354 2008-06-04 10:39:00 Hmm is the hdd sata?? If it is make sure the sata / cable connection going to the mobo header hasnt come out.

It sounds like the hdd isnt getting power.

Also, if its a sata and its connected with a molex adapter (if its not on the PSU itself), the pins dont make contact sometimes. And this error may appear. If the pins dont make contact. The SATA wont be getting power.

What about floppies? Any memory cards in anything anywhere?

675355 2008-06-04 10:52:00 the harddrive and dvd drive are both ide and i can confirm that there is power running to the ide harddrive by the fact that it shows up in the bios and that i can hear it spinning. Mirddes (10)
675356 2008-06-04 10:58:00 There's only 1 partition now right, and it should boot into Windows??

Its not coming up with a menu asking you to select another OS or anything?

Might have to use the xp cd and do a fixmbr or whatever in recovery console
