675848 2008-06-05 09:45:00 Hi. I use a particular Excel Workbook at work, for a purpose where there is a lot of textual entry in the cells (in a column). The cells take as much text (as opposed to numerics) as you give them, but will not print all the text even though all text is visible on-screen and print area is appropriately set, etc.

(It follows that this particular function works better for me in Excel than Word, but for this one drawback.)

Any ideas? Cheers

Nah, tried that. There appears to be a character limit for text in a cell, but don't know how to overcome it. Cheers.

675851 2008-06-05 12:29:00 With Excel 2003 you can get 32k characters into a cell but apparently only 1024 display in the cell so presumably that is all that will print. The specifications are listed here:
office.microsoft.com

Do you have more than 1024 characters in the problematic cells?

675852 2008-06-06 03:16:00 Thanks, Andrew. that appears to be the answer, together with a max row size of 409 pts. I'll just have to live with it. Cheers. A Team (13613)
