| 675810 | 2008-06-05 08:41:00 | I sent an email to Telecom about 3 weeks ago asking about suggestions from improving my upload speeds. See an example: www.speedtest.net Since I hadn't heard anything, I assumed the email got lost on the bowels of their helpdesk. Got an email back tonight saying "We have done some changes on your line profile, please check your speeds now". Sure enough: www.speedtest.net Quite suprised really. |

| 675813 | 2008-06-05 09:29:00 | The OP will have a max speed up and down connection. You will have either a 2mbps or max speed down, and 128k up connection. So your upload is fine, but the download definitely is a bit on the slow side. Where in Nelson are you? |

| 675816 | 2008-06-05 21:05:00 | Hmm, you should definitely not be getting speeds like that. :( Do you know for sure what speed plan you are on? I'd be doing an isolation test (unplug EVERYTHING in the house except the ADSL Router). Reboot the router/modem and see if you get an better speeds. Also, browse into the modem and check the actual line speed your getting. The adsl router is plugged straight into the wall? (no phone extension cables) and last of all, what brand/model is your adsl router? |
