401869 2005-11-04 19:54:00 True confusions of a idiot, but I was mush younger and had a excuse then.

Many years ago when I was going to high school (or maybe I just started in the work force), the family went and spent Guy Fawkes night with my sister boy friend family on the slopes of Red Hill, (I will call the boy friend OT) during the night I was sitting on the ground with my legs crossed right next to the box of fire works, I saw a live cracker go into the box of fire works, I think it came from my sister by mistake she was next nearest, it was a complete accident even she was surprised by what happened next, I was about to put my hand into box and pull it out, but I stopped and took my hand away, next second there was a big bang I was so pleased I did not get my fingers blown off.

But that not all what a extra bonus there seemed to be no real harm done, I was the joke for the rest of the night, it was “Eric blew up all the fire works in one hit”, it was kind of a good feeling, after all I still had all ten fingers.

But the next morning I was in my bedroom, OT came around to home, he said to mother “were is Eric he killed all my birds last night” mother said “he is in his bedroom, sure it was not Guy Fawkes night“ OT said “no, they have lasted other Guy Fawkes nights in the past” then he came up to me “All my birds are dead bow, you killed all my bird” I did not know what to say, and did not say anything, anything I would of said would of made things look worse for me, I wish I had of said what I knew the night before instead of been the joke of the party. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I am sure there is more than one lesson in here for tonight,

I hope you all have a safe night, for me the novelty of Guy Fawkes night wore off many years ago, I will be at home close to something electronic.
