401639 2005-11-03 21:52:00 Have a look at this Internet Traffic Monitor:
www.internettrafficreport.com

Our region is Yellow, indicating less reliability, but there are no "Noteworthy Events".

But yes, I have noticed that web pages are slow to load, with a few not loading at all or not properly.

Telstra are having big upstream routing problems etc, as a result, ISP's buying through Telstra are having intermittant (but mostly down) international traffic.

Edit: Telstra page: http://networkstatus.telstraclear.co.nz/

And it you look at www.ispmap.co.nz you'll see that 1/2 NZ's providers are buying their b/w off Telstra so the problem should be rather widespread.

Thanks Ninja.
I am with Paradise, which is with Telstra, so it explains the slow connections this morning.

Are the routing problems temporary or long term?

Are the routing problems temporary or long term?Apparently they should be resolved by 1130, though looking now it seems to be sorted. (touch wood)

I think it may be in preparation for a change of upstream providers and a scheduled outage coming up on Sunday morning.

401643 2005-11-04 00:20:00 New resolution time according to the TCL site is 1400hrs. This means it should be fixed by midnight. pixeldust (6619)
