Or appliance repairs.

402364 2005-11-10 10:51:00 NiMh batteries don't suffer from the memory effect of Nicads...
so you don't need to fully discharge them to preserve full capacity.
I think they prefer not to be fully discharged

Pete, the batteries we are discussing are Nicads. NiMh's are not available, or at least not easily available.

Cicero & Speedy, any luck?

402367 2005-11-10 21:52:00 Cicero, where's the shop in ChCh you've found? I've got the same problem with my shaver. I've pulled it apart and had the circuit board out and tried removing the solder arount the battery tags, but they don't make them easy to work on. So if I can find a shop to do it I'll be happy. It has lasted well, but I can only use it plugged in now. Sb0h (3744)

Well, with mine, yup, went in yesterday to get the replacement batteries.

Got 1100 mah, I think I mentioned before.

Ross, from the shop, chucked the batteries in soldered them. And I just brought the PCB back here, chucked it in the shaver, and screwed it back together. Then recharged. All up, and running now!
