675821 2008-06-06 00:31:00 Good on them. Probably had mistakenly restricted your upload speed.

Hehe, you could be right there, though I thought I'd give them benefit of the doubt.

When I first tried to get broadband to my house I was told it's not possible.
Went and had a chat with my neighbours and they said they had been using broadband for a while through Telecom/xtra.

Then Telecom said I could try subscribing but my line signals are just on the verge of not being able to get ADSL.
e.g According to my modem, line attenutation for downstream/upstream is 58dB/74dB.

675822 2008-06-06 00:45:00 Your getting pretty good speeds for that kind of attenuation thats for sure.

Does it disconnect much?

675824 2008-06-06 02:04:00 Where do you guys get the speedtest thingie you post or is it part of the standard speedtest that's available on various sites? I don't recognise the black test result screen?

675829 2008-06-12 10:01:00 Hi Wratty.... Following on.... I exchanged a few words with a nice guy from Xtra about my previous mentioned speeds: Mine looked like 807-123 which do not raise the roof with joy. Yesterday he arranged some adjustment which took the download from 807 to this:
www.imagef1.net.nz The download from Auckland is 3654.....
