While we have rented in the past, and even had some loaned to us for free, the cost of renting for routine-maintenance etc. gets a bit costly if you add it up. I'll ask around the local hire places to see what they say, though buying new would be nice (for safety reasons, as you mentioned Murray). |

| 402776 | 2005-11-09 01:09:00 | Outrageous? I'd say it's just "expensive". A lot of safety equipment is. It's made to meet standards. It's expensive to hire because it's expensive to buy, and people who rent equipment aren't always as careful with it as they might be. So it needs to be replaced fairly often. |
