| 676047 | 2008-06-06 02:51:00 | I can be sending an email from OE on the laptop and type in the intended recipient eg Brad & Angelina and it comes up with a question mark - not recognising the addressee. I go to the address book and sure enough there is the name Brad & Angelina and the address - so I select and we are hunky dorey. Exactly the same ! Don't seem to have that problem with the PC which has Windows XP Home. However the laptop has Windows XP Professional. I don't think that would be significant. Should I reload OE perhaps ? Misty  |

| 676048 | 2008-06-06 03:22:00 | I'd back up the address book file.. Copy C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\whateveritis.wab and save it on the desktop or somewhere safe. Open it to make sure your addresses are in there. Then delete the .wab file in C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book. Open OE, it will re-create a blank address book, then go file\import\address book (thats from memory - you get the idea.) :p Browse to where you backed the address book up to, and select it. That should fix it. I'm expecting the address book to be corrupted somewhat - even if it's not, it's a good first step. |
