| 1427566 | 2016-10-16 06:08:00 | As most of you know, I have recently put a clean install of Window 10 on my desktop. I have been slowly working my way through the 'detail' following the install. One thing I have found this afternoon, is while I can download and install Quintessential Player (my choice for playing cds on my 'puter), I am blocked from downloading 'skins' to change the appearance of the programme. I am told, that Windows has blocked the installation of unsigned drivers and that I should go to their site to download a digitally signed version of the driver. Well - I don't think I can. Any suggestions? Or alternative suitable for me to use? |

Because of the things I do for the local camera club, Quintessential is useful (with the right skin installed) as I can see all the track titles in sequence, and how long each track is in minutes and seconds (and hear it too, to assess the suitability for what I am doing...). While I can download and install QE and it works fine on my 'puter, the installed skin gives me the length (in a VERY small size in seconds!). I'm not that quick in converting 1000s of seconds into minutes. :( |

Looking at the skins listed as well as any you try to download they ALL show 0KB, which usually means theres a listing for them, but no actual skin. The default skins, some are over 10 years old. If you download skins from other places and put them in the Skins folder they show and work perfectly. Just installed the player, loaded in a couple and working. :) The working skins vary from 130KB - 300KB + Got some from customize.org Folders manually added to skins, and showing: 75817582 |
