| 1427373 | 2016-10-13 22:29:00 | I am using the paid version of Active@ V7. Having done an image backup, I find I am unable to schedule an incremental backup. When using the "Create Task Wizard" the option of an Incremental backup is greyed out, and only the options of "Full Backup" and "RAW Backup" are available. This was not a problem when I used V5.4. Perhaps wainuitech could assist sometime please.? |

| 1427374 | 2016-10-14 03:28:00 | To be honest I don't know, its almost as if part is missing. Just looked and from the main window Schedule Task / follow prompts and all 3 options were available. Maybe you can try reinstalling the program. I use it mainly from a bootable CD, but installed the trial and all options are available. |

| 1427375 | 2016-10-14 06:22:00 | It is certainly strange. I will try a reinstall but unfortunately I have done a three hour image backup. That's the way the cookie crumbles, I guess. Thanks for your comments. | Pato (2463) | ||
| 1427376 | 2016-10-14 08:05:00 | Your backup should be fine. I was suggesting uninstall Active@, reboot, then reinstall the program again. but its only a guess. Never had that happen before apart from once, but the trial had expired and nothing was functioning. |

I got another copy rather than reinstall the old one, but I am still unable to do a scheduled incremental backup as it is still greyed out. I did an Image backup then went to Other Options/Schedule Task/Create Schedule Task, and in Choose Backup Type, the Incremental Backup choice is not available. What am I doing incorrectly?. |

From what you described, you have done nothing wrong . The only other thing that comes to mind is something not right with the task Scheduler . Assuming you are using W10 -- In search type in Services Open the window, scroll down and make sure Task Scheduler is running . If its off, enable it . This is what you should see: 7571 If its already on, then try opening Active@ and what do you get if you were to do a Incremental backup manually ? If its still greyed out - may pay to contact them and see what they can suggest . Had to do that once before several years ago, and they were very helpful . . lsoft . net/clients/" target="_blank">secure . lsoft . net |

| 1427381 | 2016-10-15 04:59:00 | Thanks. I had a look at that video. I can backup ok. I notice that video doesn't show the Schedule Task options window, just how to set up the days etc once you have got beyond this. I think I will ditch Active@ and try something else. I still can't understand how I was able to run V5.4 without any problems and yet V7 is not playing how it should. |
