In addition it inflates property prices and makes existing property owners feel like millionaires. They buy new cars, spend at restaurants, get their poodles clipped more regularly, etc, and give the economy another boost. These good times make gullible people think John Key is a great leader... ...but it's all a house of cards. You can't export land forever, just as you can't sell off state assets forever. A great leader would do something to make homes affordable to ordinary people. They would also do something about child poverty, education expenses, social exclusion, etc |
