1425323 2016-10-01 02:47:00 Glad it worked wainuitech! Are you saying you can get Kodi for PC as well? I didn't know that - I have just been working on my Nexus 9" tablet.

The only problem I have is that I don't know what is legit and what isn't! For eg, my daughter in Oz told me about a tv series she was enjoying, but I was blocked from accessing it via the "TV Channel" On Demand because the programme in question wasn't available in NZ (I had registered and everything). I was wondering about using a VPN because I get so irritated by those blockages, but I have found the whole series is available via Kodi streaming!

How on earth do you tell what is legit and what isn't (with the exception of Freeview of course)?

1425324 2016-10-01 02:54:00 A google of "kodi for pc" gives the answer to my query including how to configure it and install addons. John H (8)
1425325 2016-10-01 03:07:00 Mines on Windows 10. The install of addons does require a bit of work. You can get add-ons for such places as YouTube and many other free similar media playing sites. As for legal streaming -- There's lots of not "quite so legit" sources as you may expect, but there's also a lot of free, totally legal shows streaming from other countries. Its just a case of finding them. Some sites allow streaming to other countries, as long as you pay a fee, most are sporting, which we very rarely watch.

Ol Story -- Google is your friend.

1425326 2016-10-01 03:23:00 I just installed Kodi on my W10 laptop and added the file .m3u. I even remembered how to do it without the tutorial... All works brilliantly. Now I have to find the other addon that enabled me to look at the Oz tv channel... John H (8)
1425327 2016-10-01 03:52:00 This may shorten the search ( excuse the pun) :p Search term in Google: kodi add on Australian TV wainuitech (129)
1425328 2016-10-01 04:17:00 Thanks. I got the Aus channel I wanted through .CAZ repository. John H (8)
1425329 2016-10-01 14:21:00 If you use playlist loader addon or the pvr option and point them to the .m3u online file when I update it you will get the current updated channel list.

Thanks Apsattv - the NZ playlist is great, and now there's Oz as well!

Fantastic, spoiled for choice - appreciate for all your work, which I'm sure has been in depth for quite some time now

Cheers

1425332 2016-10-02 21:26:00 Thanks you lot. good read. I just installed Kodi and addons on laptop. Works OK. Wondering though if I can create by own add-on file or stream, for about 60 odd YouTube vids that I have saved on various devices. I tried the YouTube add-on, but really want a bunch of select videos, from a personal (or public) file to stream on Kodi from my saved You Tuber's. kahawai chaser (3545)
