1425303 2016-09-28 18:59:00 Have a look at Kodi for your PC.

Or hook a Raspberry Pi loaded with Kodi to your TV. Makes for a cheap very smart TV.

1425307 2016-09-29 01:15:00 Just to be clear Kodi itself is a quite legitimate Media Center app and gives easy access to a lot of free content it is also an excellent front end for watching Freeview on a PC. That is what I use it for. CliveM (6007)

Bit like Torrent programs -- The torrent programs are not illegal, but some of the content in torrents are. There are legal torrents, good example is Linux.

All depends on how the are used.

Not really, a lot of things use the same or similar technology without people even realising it. Like game patches for example, Blizzards downloader uses torrents.

And then there's this www.makeuseof.com
Torrents are a great tool with legitimate uses that just so happens to be also great for pirating stuff.

Clive, I thought I would try Kodi on my tablet but can't see how to use it for watching Freeview - in the immortal words of the great Australian intellectual Pauline Hansen, "please explain"?
