| 1427383 | 2016-10-15 07:47:00 | Just wondering if it's due to the partion(s) being all (or not) selected during the initial full backup. All need to be selected according to their help file here. (www.disk-image.com). Or a fault with shadow service mentioned here (www.disk-image.com) within Microsoft's VSS (shadow copy service). Possible workaround is to traverse back and forth a bit in the wizard - to select data/system then reverse. See here. (www.storagecraft.com) I once had issue with drive XMLwhich I think also uses Microsoft's VSS, and found out in came down to the partitions, which I had changed so could not restore. So if new partitions have been created/changed in size then that may cause issues with incremental backup |

| 1427385 | 2016-10-16 00:54:00 | Have you created and stored earlier incrementals with this new version - and/or other incremental jobs exist from the earlier version? (That are perhaps unknown to you, archived on your drive). If so and if within the same volume - will cause issues. Even active@ says so - too many resident incrementals will cause corruption. Research says they need be deleted - not saying for you to do so. See here for explanation. (www.storagecraft.com) | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||
| 1427386 | 2016-10-16 01:37:00 | No. I did my initial full backup on a clean external drive. Then I tried to set up a schedule to do an incremental backup and that is when I found I didn't have the option. | Pato (2463) | ||
