1426957 2016-10-06 02:10:00 That is the latest version and it still works just fine for me in Win 10 Pro.That is interesting. Perhaps I should try it in Win10 before I ditch it. Pato (2463)
1426958 2016-10-06 03:33:00 I paid for Active@ some while back and use it for imaging but I have not had any luck using it to clone. I think imaging software in general just works better when restoring to an identically sized drive and that's probably why MS opted to just refuse to try rather than risk failure.

I think Active@ from a boot disk is a simpler way to create/restore an image but the windows one works just fine. Windows is definitely slower in my experience though. My issues with Imaging are largely personal though, I only do it now and again and invariably if I screw up windows my last image is many months old if I can even remember what I did with it so I end up just starting again anyway. I do back up all my Media regularly at least though :)

1426959 2016-10-06 04:48:00 I find backing up a bit of a chore and I really want a programme that I can set up schedules and forget about it. Active@ seems to fit the bill but it is good to get your comments about the windows backup. Pato (2463)

The secret with Active@ is download the latest version and make the bootable flash drive from the trial as its a full working version anyway and doesn't run out if made into a bootable
