1425771 2016-09-08 03:15:00 Apart from the fact I would never buy an iPhone, another reason it wouldn't work with no headphone jack is mobile eftpoz (Fastpay) - it uses the headphone jack to connect the small terminal to the Phone be it Android or iPhone. wainuitech (129)
1425772 2016-09-08 05:06:00 I think it's a bad Idea but one they'll get away with. Just how often does the need to listen to music while charging the phone actually come up? for me personally the answer so far is never.

I own an android phone and like the option to use whatever headphones I want without an adapter, that's what I'd be (slightly) annoyed with.
I hope the Apple iTax at least includes an adapter as part of the phone purchase.

Then again with one of their biggest competitors releasing exploding phones they may do pretty well.

1425773 2016-09-08 05:30:00 While killing time, found another report.

Wholly ******

If you’re going wireless, Apple has an accessory for you. AirPods are wireless versions of the EarPods that will be in the iPhone’s box. You can get over 5 hours of listening per charge, and the AirPods have accelerometers so they know when you put them in or when you’re talking.*They’ll cost $159, and yeah you’ll probably lose them super quick so that’s gonna sting. and that's USA Currency !!

Gonna be expensive when they get lost, either one or the other. :waughh:

1425775 2016-09-08 07:04:00 I can't wear in ear buds anyway so I would have to have the Crapple adapter, I think Not gary67 (56)
1425776 2016-09-08 07:59:00 Out and about earlier and had to surf through four local radio stations to find one where the breakfast host(s) weren't delivering some inane braying about the new iphone7. Why do these stations imagine that delivering such banal crap is entertainment, or is in any way informative?

Who really wants to listen to assertions the phone is waterproof/ watertight/ resistant plus all the other possibilities, any of which the host, with their retention of a lobotomised prawn really understands the impact. And share the excited revelation the iphone7 has not one, but two cameras! (One can presumably now take pictures of their rug rat performing some world first for rug rats while simultaneously taking a selfie of your indulgent self proclaiming "OMG, OMG! Look at [he/she/it] having their first technicolor yawn", or similar).

I steadfastly refuse to purchase an ianything. Especially one that costs up to NZ$1599 and in true iphone style will be superseded in a year.

1425778 2016-09-09 11:52:00 No option for me to select that 'Yes I think it is a good idea, but it's not the best idea they've ever had.'

A bit like optical drives being removed from computers, or PS/2 ports.
Old technology that is going to disappear eventually and someone has to be first to get rid of it.

Every smartphone I've had the headphones have stayed in the box never to be used.
