1427825 2016-10-25 08:06:00 I have downloaded a file that has subtitle captions and a file .srt. Windows 10 does not want to play it. How can I fix this other than using vlc which I understand will work? Bryan (147)
1427826 2016-10-25 08:46:00 I don't think they have external subtitle support yet. The only way would be to embed the subtitles into the video or use VLC or some other player which you seem like you rather not do. Kame (312)
1427827 2016-10-25 17:31:00 Thanks Kame. The subtitles are not that important to me so I will just use the .mp4 file until Microsoft might supply support for .srt. Bryan (147)

You could be waiting a long long time ;)

.srt's have been around for ages and there are loads of players that are better than WMP and will happily play whatever you throw at them :D
