| 1427666 | 2016-10-19 20:44:00 | I've created an event programme in Publisher 2010 and saved as PDF - minimum size to upload at FB. some readers can't open it and the common factor seems to be they are using an iPhone 6s. Any suggestions on cause and solution? | johnnymax (17033) | ||

Any suggestions on cause and solution? I'm used to having to test web stuff to make sure it works or can be viewed on different devices. Try this site macintoshhowto.com |

| 1427673 | 2016-10-20 02:41:00 | The phones involved happily open other pdfs so that's not the problem. Publisher 2010 has a direct "save as - file type pdf" function and everyone else can open it so that's not the problem. | johnnymax (17033) | ||
| 1427674 | 2016-10-20 03:45:00 | OK that's a closed group so can't see any of the posts. I've never had a problem opening PDFs on my iPhone 6, in fact it opens PDFs others sometimes can't. If it didn't work on and iPhone 6S, as you say, then it would be a problem on all iOS devices, as the software would be the cause. Hardware doesn't affect what file types you can and can't open. |

Publisher 2010 has a direct "save as - file type pdf" function and everyone else can open it so that's not the problem. The ONLY variables are iphone, publisher, facebook. You cant change fb, you cant change other people i6's , so that leaves you with 1 option. Look at the pdf & how it was created, try converting the pub file with another app . See if you can open it directly off the i6, ie not through FB (email it to the i6) A quick google search would indicate its probably an ongoing FB issue . |
