| 403628 | 2005-11-11 23:57:00 | :angry Well, this is a novelty. The forum (www.petes-emulation.com) from my emulation site, petes-emulation.com has been hacked. It now sports a lovely banner that says "Hacked by sebofan" The image properties link to a geocities account, so I've registered a complaint with them, but what else can I find out except that the guy's in Turkey? |

| 403629 | 2005-11-12 00:20:00 | The hacker is part of a team (or claiming to be) which are doing the rounds at the moment taking advantage of unpatched phpBB forums. Have a read of this for advice (www.phpbb2.de). If you google for TurkHack Team you will find more information. Have you checked your logs for an IP that you can trace? Update your forum software as well pronto. :) |

| 403631 | 2005-11-12 00:29:00 | BTW, you do realise that they just didn't leave the banner, that one (if not more) of the Admin user accounts (user ID2) has been hacked. That needs to be addressed immediately as well. The whole forum will probably need going over with a fine tooth comb and checked for other traces of their hack. | Jen (38) | ||

All Admin accounts have been locked & posts credited to any Admin have been credited to TurkHackTeam. At least I've got the weekend to sort it out. Great excuse to stay home & look into this, rather than going out & visiting the outlaws.... er... inlaws. :thumbs: |

| 403633 | 2005-11-12 01:05:00 | I am surprised that that forum lasted so long using Powered by phpBB 2.0.10 © 2001, 2002 phpBB Group :waughh: :eek: :horrified If your friend needs any help with upgrading his forum, get his to post on www.phpbb.com & there will be people there to help them (There even a member on here who a mod over there :D) ( Or PM me & I will be happy to help him as well :)) also the lasted version of phpbb (At the date of this post) is 2.0.18 |
