402882 2005-11-15 21:52:00 Now that i wake up my memory cells, i remember that the "Telstra" ADSL connection was strongly tied in with Clears network. Clear central was about a block away, hence the different technology from the standard telstra/saturn speech by copper pairs, and data by coax. personthingy (1670)
402883 2005-11-15 21:59:00 Hmm, I might have to check just in case. If it came down to it, I'd rather have Ihug as my ADSL ISP if I have to have TCL as my phone provider. I assumed because Telstra now offer ADSL services on their website that it might work?

Lot's of phone calls to make this afternoon, I think.

Anyway, as far as the Telecom technician could tell, there is no way that Telecom will foot the bill to rewire the entire block (14 apartments) - it'd be the responsibility of the owners/tenants. I doubt it'd be worth the hassle to try to get them to do it anyway.
