| 677895 | 2008-06-12 21:16:00 | Have had a Fuji Xerox C525A for some time. My requirements for colour printing have been minimal to date. I am now interested in playing with the settings. When I look at printer properties it is not readable - not in a foreign language just 'symbols'. Clearly I have a setting incorrectly set somewhere but I can't find how to change settings. I would pop in the instalation disc but I can't find it at present. Does anyone know how to change settings on this printer? :thanks in advance. Michael |

| 677896 | 2008-06-12 22:24:00 | Are the symbols only showing in the properties of that printer, or other places/printers as well ? If you want the drivers/software Download From Here (www.xerox.com.au) |

| 677897 | 2008-06-12 23:21:00 | Hi Wainuitech The symbols are only showing for that particular printer (2 others are OK), so I think the problem is related just to the Fuji. When I said 'symbols' that mightn't be very clear. The tabs along the top of the dialog box are a series of white vertical bars in a black background (i.e. haven't a clue what they mean). On the rest of the page, much of the text on the page is simply replaced with what appear to be combinations of 'I's and '1's - again, making it impossible to know what the button does. However, some letters are rendered. A typical example would be one that appears as "IIII[E]:". Not very helpful :illogical Thanks for the link for the drivers and software. I think that is my next step but it may have to wait a little while as I must finish an audit report today. Thanks again Michael Damned annoying when work interferes with one's hobby!!! |

| 677898 | 2008-06-13 00:49:00 | Still no joy :help: Downloaded from the site suggested. Installed (allowed the files to overwrite) and rebooted. Same problem as before. Looking at the dates for the download I am pretty sure it is identical to the one I had already installed (doesn't seem to have changed in several years). By the way, I made sure I had downloaded the English version. Curious, I read the README file and it refers to the "driver user guide provided". Can't find or identify it! The folder contains 25 files but I am blowed if I can identify the one to which they are refering. Thought I would try "Help" from the print dialog. Received the following message: C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\fxhl2z. hlp help file was created for a language not supported by your version of Windows. Looks to me as if the problem is clearly a language problem but I can't figure out how to change it. Was hoping the the fresh download would provide the answer. :crying Thanks for your imput.
