Hi guys, just got broadband but it is so slow downloading 10 to 13kb..can I tweak the settings of the modem? |

First thing I would do is check the speed your modem is connecting to the exchange at. Go into the modem setup and look for the Status of your ADSL connection. Should have an upload and download data rate. |

and what/where are you downloading from ?........if it's a file sharing program be aware that you may very well be downloading from someone else who'se on dialup .........in which case theres nothing you can do about it.........try a download from microsoft.....they're usually pretty fast ......just to test things. |
