405720 2005-11-20 05:28:00 I have been a linux user for 6 years and although I have had "blips"
I have never read on a forum of anyone being infected by a virus or
having a problem with adaware.
I do however get a fair few BLANK emails (from sites that try to send their rubbish to me)
The ONLY reason I keep MS is because some of my contacts send me stuff that I (and I emphasise that) do not quite have a grip on Linux even after 5 years am still thinking Windows now and again (started with Lotus then Windows about 1993)
I have to every day open XP to make sure ,this, that and the other thing is up to date.
IF U GET IN TO LINUX FOR GOODNESS SAKE STICK WITH IT and this forum will help U
thru it.

405722 2005-11-20 08:40:00 There are some days I wonder how people put up with Windows...

...Then there's days I wonder why I put up with Linux too :(

405724 2005-11-20 09:07:00 I have to agree with both the above.
Where would we be if Bill had everything his own way.
Thank goodness the swing to alternatives is increasing.

TuT TuT Chill, you of all people I would have thought would have known how to reduce your frustration with those two Operating Systems

If you dont know what im talking about go here (http://www.mslinux.org)
If that fails, its surprising what a VERY large hammer can do for anger management.

405726 2005-11-21 00:53:00 I can only guess, reading between the lines that you are telling Chills and others to take a large hammer to windows.
WHAT A GREAT IDEA.

405727 2005-11-21 03:37:00 Want a large hammer (or a flamethrower, or a machinegun etc.) to take out your frustrations.
Try this;

405729 2005-11-21 04:31:00 This is a dumb thread.

Windows and Linux are chalk and cheese.

Try playing most mainstream games on Linux (you can't, Wine sux)
Try Running the entire internet on Windows (god help us)

Windows is attacked far more by hackers and Spyware makers as 95% of the worlds desktops are using Windows, and MS security is suspect to allow better 3rd part app support amongst other things.

By the Way, Windows was actually built from Linux did you know that?

Dos was based on Linux, Windows was built over Dos.
