| 677852 | 2008-06-16 01:52:00 | Hi! Opera fans. Thanks Lawrence for the speeddial hint. I use speeddial a lot as it enables me to hide the Personal Bar and free-up screen space. Worth pointing out that the format for entry in the speeddial.ini file must be as follows [Size] rows=x columns=y [Size] rows=x columns=y does not work. Two small niggles I have. 1) I sometimes have to move my mouse pointer around over the Back/ Forward buttons to activate them 2) left-click on a link does not work, I have to r.click and select Open to visit the link. Anyone have any ideas about this? JonB |

A single left click on a link on the Forum post listing does open the post referred to, but left-clicking a link within that post does nothing, although the address shows in the Status bar when mouse pointer is over the link. Hope that makes sense! JonB |

| 677854 | 2008-06-16 02:07:00 | Hi Jon. the speed dial mod works on 9.5b/9.5 final, just to point out,it's [Size] Rows=4 columns=5 Had problems also, but after installing in a separate folder it preforms very well, dumped all the other Opera folders that had builtup over the years. Find that 20 Speed dial panels suit me better than 9 |

Another possibility is you are accidentally changing the focused item. |

| 677856 | 2008-06-16 02:50:00 | I did an upgrade from 9.27, and well Sudoku here=>www.stuff.co.nz does not display the numbers, it sort of hangs and shows the grid etc, but does not populate the numbers. I have rebooted etc... and am wondering if I need to reinstall yet something else? Is this javascriupt or something? BTW I was on alpha 9.5 and sukodu worked there... but it was a clean install not an upgrade! help... LWS! (lost without Sudoku) |

| 677857 | 2008-06-16 03:39:00 | Hi Bletch. Problem solved! Left-click worked on everything I tried without any problems., so it couldn't be my mouse. I had a good dig into the Opera menus and discovered that the links in F1 members' postings are treated by Opera as pop-ups. Went into Tools>Quick preferences>Edit site preferences and changed Pop-ups dialog from Block all pop-ups to any of the other options and all is now OK. Please answer me this. Why are some link addresses treated as URL's as normal and some as pop-ups? JonB |

| 677860 | 2008-06-16 09:51:00 | Ok. After a bit of digging around and Googling it would appear that a window which is opened after performing a direct act like clicking on a link is officially known as a pop-up. By trying out various options in IE 7 the same situation applies except that the user is warned that a pop-up has been blocked and is given the option to proceed. However in Opera when "Block all pop-ups" is applied, no warning is given and the links to take you to another page are simply "dead". Not very satisfactory as I have always considered pop-ups to be pages pushed at you without any action from yourself. However it's not a major problem once you are aware of it and I still think Opera is the better browser. JonB |
