Hi, Is anybody else finding broadband speeds slow today? All day I have been slow. Speed test shows 3,874, Orcon, Firefox, shutdown computer, disconnected from power,used AdAware,used Spybot etc but still slow. Just wondering! |

It's been like a roller coaster here. Ive been working on a client's web site, which we host in the US, and at some times it's been smooth as silk when updating, at other time it slows down and I get page timeouts. Very annoying. |

According to Orcons site (www.orcon.net.nz), they are once again having issues with a lot of overseas sites :badpc: |

Orcon seems to be starting to have more issues as it gets more customers, a la Telecom. I hope it does not go down that path because for a long time it was great. Maybe it was better in private ownership! We will see what happens. |

Being the government telco, I wouldn't be surprised if it does become like the old telecom. |

Still slow on lots of sites today as well. Anybody have a ISP that they very happy with? |

Join Woosh for a month or so. It lowers your expectations so much, you'll never ever complain again about any other ISP. |

The landline phones cut off yesterday for a couple a hours, but the internet was ok. But today the internet played up, [still is], site loading slow or not at all. :( ISP is telecom. |
