404583 2005-11-15 05:09:00 This is an article from today's Herald.

Well worth the read. It nicely summarises why Telecom's bad attitude is one of the main reasons why so many people are fed up with them.

404584 2005-11-15 05:36:00 I'm not fed up
Forgot to transfer my phones and broadband for a house move this coming Friday before I went to Aussie 3wks ago.
Rang Telecom today to do the biz thinking 'here we go it's going to be the end of next week before it will be done'
Took 15mins on phone and all sorted, broadband and phones will be transferred this Friday.
3 days notice, awesome service, thanks Telecom
(Assuming all goes to plan of course)

404585 2005-11-15 05:45:00 The Herald also has a bad attitude, they expect to get paid for that article.

Why do all these industry figures with opinions on Telecom hide behind journalists?
It's in Peter Nowak's interest to stir things along or there'd be no story.

404589 2005-11-15 06:28:00 I'm not fed up with them.
I'm fed up with the likes of the competition bleating and moaning but doing nothing themselves.
Why is Vodaphones mobile call chargess basically no different from Telecoms? For instance.

Probably the same reason why Telecom's mobile call charges are basically no different from Vodafone's.

Basic economics. In a duopoly neither is going to change their prices for fear of a price war. They'll use non-price competition to adjust their perceived value however.
