678928 2008-06-16 11:02:00 Hey all,

I want to get a free video editor program - have been using Windows Movie Maker up until now.

It needs to have the ability to overlay video files on top of another. Other than that, anything will do.

678929 2008-06-16 11:19:00 Unlikely that you will get a decent free one for Windows that will do that kind of stuff. Definitely there is free video editing software available but when you want to start doing FX or adding features the developers tend to start charging extra for the cost of the plugins. Movie Maker would be your "best":xmouth: free option for Windows.

There is plenty of reasonably priced video editing apps available though.

And you can overlay video in movie maker.......
