| 678773 | 2008-06-16 00:23:00 | I'm probably opening up a Pandora's box here, but if I install something like Comodo Free`Firewall can I get rid of AVG Free 8, Avast! Home Edition, Spybot, Ad-Aware etc? At the moment AVG 8 is taking betweenn 4 and 5 hours to scan my hard`drive (Approx 60 gig with approx 9 gig free) | tuiruru (12277) | ||
| 678774 | 2008-06-16 01:04:00 | For starters remove AVG, keep Avast- Its better, you cant have two antivirus programs installed, they have a tendency to fight one another sometimes. As for protection - well its no real difference between a desktop PC and laptop - Both are on the Internet, and Both can and do get hit at any time. Just because the laptop is mobile, doesn't mean the risks of infection are any less. |

No. You need: 1 firewall (commodo) 1 antivirus a minimum of 2 antispywares You shouldn't have both Avast and AVG as they are both antivirus. Keep Avast, uninstall AVG. |
