| 678781 | 2008-06-16 23:12:00 | I got the feeling John was looking for the number of cells that text appeared in, not summing numbers. Could be wrong though. This works in Excel 2000 and up, not sure about earlier versions. If you highlight the range of cells you want, on the bottom of the screen, near the right, you will notice that Excel has summed up the totals. If you right click that total, you will see a range of other options. (Average, count, min, max) which can be helpful. |
