| 678298 | 2008-06-14 02:58:00 | Hi there, My sisters got a PC that shows the address w-w-w-dot-com.com when opening IE 7. After deleting cookies etc. & turning off 'Restore Points' I have manually upated & installed AVG 8 Free, Spybot S&D Free & Adaware Free with latest updates downloaded (from my Flash drive) to no successful result. AVG didn't detect a problem, Spybot found various threats but failed to remove all as did Adaware. ZoneAlarm Free is also installed! I can't seem to find any reference in a search on this site (but might have missed some). Through Google there is little info but says it is a trojan and the advice was to run the above programs as I have. Runs Win XP Pro SP2. Anyone got the solution to this and/or even what the official name of this trojan is? Unfurtunetly I can't access the internet from that house so there's a lot of going back & forwards - I might not be able to respond for a while. |

| 678301 | 2008-06-14 06:46:00 | Run Trojan Remover (www.simplysup.com) and Spyware Doctor (www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/) and if you can, get a free trial of NOD 32 AV and run that too. | beeswax34 (63) | ||
