408136 2005-11-27 22:44:00 You can add Kerio to that list too :(
The list of good firewalls is growing thin.

Yeah but Kerio is still a perfectly adequate firewall even without it being supported in the future. I reckon it'll be good for a few more years.

408138 2005-11-27 23:11:00 Well I'm keeping my copy of Sygate backed up. FUDGE YOU SYMANTEC! bob_doe_nz (92)
408139 2005-11-27 23:13:00 Buying out a damn good program then dropping it really sucks.

I have been using Sygate for quite a while now and find it an excellent firewall. It is just as well firewalls don't become useless without regular updates like anti-virus programs do. As Like Greg says about Kerio, Sygate will still function perfectly well for some time yet.

408140 2005-11-28 05:53:00 Just cruising thru the posts here...I get a thread of an idea and (correct me..I am sure someone will if they disagree)..........

1) Mr. Bill is going INTO the Anti Spy business to protect his old age security blanket (Micro$oft) since he can't code any system that can't be hacked/virused/trojan'd/disassembled...........

2) Companies like Symantec and McAfee are gonna bleed a lot when they aren't the big dogs...and are dropping or will drop like flies.........

3) Google is gonna skunk Mr. Bill with a floating OPSYS....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm..do I smell rats cooking?
