| 407184 | 2005-11-24 22:42:00 | after what seemed forever finally changed from telecom 256kb dsl to a orcon 2mb connection however maybe i was expecting too much? web surfing is hardly different (dont really care) but more what is really annoying me is that my downloading speed is if anything just as slow as my old connection, have tried bittorrent downloads website downloads - cnet etc and still get 30kb/s or less give or take. i know you cant always be optimising your connection when downloading but if you cant at all why the F$#% am i paying extra for nothing? :badpc: what speeds on average do other people get on 2mb plans? /end rant |

| 407187 | 2005-11-24 22:58:00 | I have 2mbit through Ihug, which is on the same network as Orcon. Downloading from linux distro mirrors is very fast (I downloaded a 700mb linux iso in about 35mins, at fairly close to 2mbit speed). Though, downloading the same iso through bitttorent was slow, hence my decision to find the appropriate mirror to get it off. | somebody (208) | ||

And are you using the new login - because your old connection may still be active and you're logging in using your old details. |
