Not happy! Me and a few mates had spent the last few months planning a trip to teh Wellington 7s in Feb next year. We're all at our last year at school - and thought it'd be our last 'get together' b4 we all split.

Anyway, we new they'd go fast, so we had 2 guys on the net trying to buy them, one on the phone and i was at the post office - all at 9am when they were realeased.

We thought we'd easily get them - we were only after 6, and with 4 of us on the ball we'd be fine.
BUt no... by 9.30am they're all sold, 30mins!! i was third in line at the post office, an donly the first people got a few (but not as much as they wanted)
The guys on the net sed the site was so slow, when they got through came up saying there were none left, and teh phone was engaged - when we got through on that (9.35!) we were told they were all gone.

Ok, so yea, we were pretty pissed, but, i go home, jump on TM, and look what i find:

www.trademe.co.nz
those cost him $780

www.trademe.co.nz
cost him $1000

www.trademe.co.nz
cost him $180!!

I couldn't beleive it. I then saw that there was a limit of 20 tickets per person.
20! how many people get 20 tickets, the most i heard was 15, and then 10.
Ok, so naturally i'm fustrated by these people who will get a return of about 400% in a few days, but i no they're only using there brain's!
I've heard of many other people in the same baot as me, and i really think something has to be done about allocating these tickets, cos you can't have this happening...

anyone else have experiences with tickets? whether you got some or missed out.
And lol, if you can't go (or have brought some to resell :() lemme no, i'll be keen...

406693 2005-11-22 23:36:00 Why not sell all the tickets at the ground on match day?
Watching the queue and the mad rush would be better than watching the game

406695 2005-11-23 00:56:00 True??!

hmmm, location wouldn't have affected it would of it? We're in a rural area - and both where on dial up.
They sed it was taking a few mins to load, then they had to enter all there details etc etc by the time they got to the 'buy tickets' page it came up that there were none left.

Once you had an account on the site, it was a 4 click process plus punching in CC details to buy the tickets.

Dial-up wouldn't have helped either.

O no  u'r kidding! thats what would have cost us, cos my mate said it was like 20 past by the time he'd filled out his details etc

lol, b4 i was peeved off becos of the system - thinking we'd done everything we could have... and now i find out about this :(

oweel, we'll still probably all go down together for the weekend, o, and does any one no if the redzone tickets are for specific seats? or is it just entry to a certain section and sit where u want?

406699 2005-11-23 03:19:00 Watch it on television. More comfortable seats, better view, no (other?) drunken hoons to annoy you, lots of money not spent on tickets ... Graham L (2)
406700 2005-11-23 05:09:00 It's not about the rugby!

I was peeved too, had a mate in Auckland try to buy them, no luck . <rumour> Aparantley there were only 5000 available for sale as 25,000 were pre-sold </rumour>
