| 680072 | 2008-06-19 00:39:00 | Hi Team, I have recently started getting a strange slowdown which affects MS Word, MS Excel and Windows explorer only. Clicking on the application short cuts or start/programs/..... or a application file opens the application reasonably quickly but the file takes several seconds to come up. In windows explorer clicking on a shortcut or drive and it opens quickly but clicking on a folder and it pauses for a couple of seconds before showing the contents. No changes or new software has been installed. Disk cleanup and defrag has not had any effect. Other than this my system works faultlessly. Configuration = Intel p4-2.53: 2Gig DDR400 ram: 2x 80 gig HDD: Win2000 Pro sr3: Microsoft Office 2003 sr3: Your assistance gratefully accepted, Phil. |

I had a mobo that was SIS based, it lagged, like 5-10 secs . Everything I clicked on took that long to open . In the end I chucked it in the bin |
