In the old days and to some extent today, when you upgraded your framework, be it the OS, Java Engine, or whatever, the applications that used it may not continue to work. With each Windows upgrade, applications became incompatible and you had to wait for the developer to release an updated version. In the case of Firefox, it is a framework that extensions depend on and aren't extensions simply applications. Why complain about the core program. Why not complain to the developers of the extensions for not keeping up. It is certainly not the fault of the developers of the core program as they released plenty of alpha/beta and release candiates for developers of extensions to test their code against. |
