Granted I think your blind on Mac issues but just because you cant see it doesn't make it truth.

Heres a very popular forum that covers dozens of games, How many of these are available for the mac?

forum.rscnet.org
Ok, maybe I should have said "most" but for the average person who plays games once and a while there are enough to keep you occupied (yes, yes I know it may not include the person who started the thread, blah, blah, blah).

I am not blind. I know that for a hardcore gamer a Mac may not be the best choice. However, to totally discredit the platform because a smaller number of games are available is kind of narrow minded.

A month.. sure.. Blizzard are the only people I recall keeping that sort of timeframe, and they went for the very rare dual platform discs at launch. Yes, Blizzard are great in that regard. Often it takes longer than a month, but once again, unless you are a game fanatic it probably isn't going to make any difference to you.

If you want, you can list the games you like Metla I would be happy to see if there is a Mac version available (if they are older games you can probably play them in VirtualPC anyway if your Mac isn't as old as the game).

I'm not trying to stir up a debate here, but when you call someone a "lier" they really have no option other than to prove their point. :p

There is no more to add, The Mac is a gaming platform in the same way a mobile phone is.

410635 2005-12-07 03:41:00 Yes, I mean really older games from the mid nineties on a very new Mac. Although I did have the Windows version of Sim City 3000 running at a barely playable speed on my 800MHz iMac G4 with a GeForce 2MX a couple of years ago so I would imagine on newer hardware it would be ok. Also, remember, not every game is a 3D first person shooter as I believe Metla kindly pointed out. :p

btw. Sorry to Etienne30 who probably just wanted a few bits of simple advice rather than a two pages debating how worthy a Mac is of playing games.
