| 679743 | 2008-06-18 04:08:00 | Ok I finally upgraded to FF3 today (have been using the mobile version on and off for a while) and a number of my extensions don't work, I hunted around and found alternatives for some, got rid of a lot I had never used, but there were some i couldn't find suitable replacements for So here's the list and the main reason I use them Chroma tabs - colours each tab from the same website the same colour and the tabs from a different website will have a different colour - I find this really invaluable when i have dozens of pages open and there are no favicons to identify which tab belongs to which site Google Browser Synch - This would synch your browser toolbars between various firefox browsers, has recently been discontinued, i have looked at Foxmarks and am 90% of the way towards switching to it, however Foxmarks does lack the synching of passwords and cookies, both of which i regulary use, and Mozillas Weave from all the user reviews i've read is fairly unreliable at the moment Tab Mix Plus - Undo close tab, and the ability to grab a tab and drop it on the currently open page to open it there, I know you are probably all thinking WHY in regards to the last part, but it's a feature i use and i really have issues not being able to use it View Source Chart (addons.mozilla.org) - Puts the source code into coloured containers, if you know what i mean **Firebug** - Yes i now have firebug working but when i told the update thingie to look for updates it kept coming back and telling me there was no FF3 compatible version of Firebug, i had to go to the Mozilla Add-ons site and download it (it's a beta version I think), but I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else hits the same issue As usual any help would be greatly appreciated |
