| 680646 | 2008-06-20 10:07:00 | I have an HP notebook dv6209TX and i am getting a pink screen which seems to be more dominant on the left hand side of the screen. If the notebook goes into a sleep mode and when it wakes again the whole screen is virtually pink but does dissipate after a short while. I have rebooted into safe mode and in the bios and the tinge is still there. Can anyone help me with my problem. David |

| 680648 | 2008-06-20 10:48:00 | Hi David Seems like a colour management problem to me. Goto START>CONTROL PANEL>DISPLAY>SETTINGS>ADVANCED>COLOR MANAGEMENT. Is there any profiles showing? If none, click ADD and you should see a selection, choose one closest to your monitor and make it the default. Try others and see if this makes a difference. Let us know if this helps? BURNZEE |

Have you got speakers, cordless phones or anything within close proximity. As you stated the screen is pink predominately on the left side this is the side to look closely at for any EM Interference Sources. This can sometimes happen if the display gets hot too. | 680650 | 2008-06-21 00:28:00 | Magnetic fields don't affect LCD screens (that's if he's using the laptop's display), only CRTs. Try hooking up an external monitor, if it's still doing it, I would suspect the video output from the motherboard is defective; if not, LCD screen or cabling/connection to the screen is defective. |

| 680651 | 2008-06-21 10:13:00 | i would suspect the green and blue pixels are going dim, if you've tried the external monitor and it still has a pink twinge to it the video adaptor (as feersumendjinn said) might be faulty. does it go pink mainly on white images and are green, blue or cyan coloured images a bit dim on it compared to red images. | williamF (115) | ||
