412071 2005-12-13 21:49:00 Hell no, I refuse to be consistent.

As for the suicide vs killer drama, I just don't buy into it, or waste any of my time contemplaiting it, Just another dead junkie which is ultimatly a good thing.

412072 2005-12-14 01:02:00 I like a lot of the old classics on Coast FM  Nyuuji (5460)
412073 2005-12-14 01:20:00 Except tripe. Tripe is 100% tripe. That's what makes it tripe. Not that I've ever eaten any. After all, it couldn't be nice, or we wouldn't describe things that are rubbish as, well tripe, would we?

Tripe by itself is TRIPE = tasteless. It's onions that make tripe better than it would be without if you get my drift.

412074 2005-12-14 01:49:00 O come on Mets! be consistant, 3 week fad or "worshipped as a rock god"? I think the truth lays somewhere in the middle, and maybe its just a CHCH thing, but when i went and saw pub covers bands 20 years back on the wet coast, they were playing Rolling Stones covers etc. These days, in CHCH they play Nirvana etc....

Not likely, Metla, aka Metal-head is like a repeating record, generally playing/quoting nothing but Iron Maiden. For the record, sure Met, they are good but not that good.

412075 2005-12-14 01:58:00 They were that good, Wether someone likes the their brand of noise or not, very few bands have reached their level of songcraft, 5 immensily talented musicians crafting some of the finest songs in exsistence .

Nirvana cerainly never came close, nor could they, no matter how much mainstream success they had, as it is I believe Maiden have sold somewhere around 80 million albums . . . . but meh, nevermind .

Anyhow, I very rarly crank Maiden nowadays . . . . But I do stand in awe of them, Current CD on high rotation is Down's Nola, One of the best albums I have heard that comes from the 90's . . . .

Interesting fact, I am banned from discussing music in my own home, Have no idea why . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . Muhahahahahaha

412078 2005-12-14 02:19:00 Pretty good guess (Dire Straits though)

Mark Knopfler has to be one of the best guitarists in the business.

412079 2005-12-14 02:26:00 Well, I did know that the album was one of the first mass produced audio CD's and that it sold in the millions, so it wasn't that much of a jump to figure they sold over 20 million copies.

Great band.
Great album.

Imo one of the better albums I have heard, One of the few that I re-buy every year....

412080 2005-12-14 02:30:00 What happened to people actually singing with good "voices". i.e. Annie Lennox.

These days, most groups are either yelling, playing their instruments too loud to drown out their voices, or talking, i.e. rap.

I suppose quality singing voices, takes talent, training and time.
