| 680451 | 2008-06-21 07:07:00 | Luckily I'm not easily offended and I really appreciate all the effort you have all made for me, I do have my own trained tame electrician I use when I need to as I know I don't know diddly squat about that as I also have a tame plumber that I use when I can't fix stuff. My main reason for asking in the beginning was because I don't know how much longer my health is going to allow me to build. It's hard to get experience when your older most companies don't want to even look at you if you haven't already been doing it for a few years. Thanks |

Some of the best experience you can get is also asking some of the local PC repair shops if they would be prepared to do some "Job Experience" training (for the lack of a better word) - On the job so to speak, Of course you wouldn't get paid, BUT you would be learning.:2cents: |

Worked with a guy who does what wainuitech does - but he was mainly based at 1 'big' client (4 days a week), as well as some others. IMO you can't beat on-the-job training if you know what you want to do. |

Forget quals then, unless you plan on moving into Systems Admin or Network Engineering. To be a tech experience counts for a lot more. |

| 680455 | 2008-06-21 23:48:00 | I was going to do a course, at the place in Symonds St, cant remember the name now . There used to be an ad on TV about it Did a test to see if I could / would qualify first . Managed to just pass lol . Just got over 1/2 way . But in the end it would have been around 11g . I think it included everything, to do with Windows, inc Linux . I suppose I could have got a grant from Winz (they do give you that much to start a business), but whether this would have counted, was another matter . But yer in the end I didnt bother . But, they'll still have a record of me doing a test . So, I can go back anytime, if I want to, and do it But for now, I've still got old workmates who ring me up for help, and they pay me for whatever . It's usually because they've infected themselves . Not because something has died I went to one of them last nignt, she knew she had installed Mywebsearch, but didnt know WHAT it was or what it did . I told her, then I removed it . Did a scan with malwarebytes AM . And it found 43 infections lol . Starware and most of them belonged to Mywebsearch . |
