| 681291 | 2008-06-23 04:54:00 | Zone Alarm has told me a few times today that "Prevalence" is trying to access the net. It gives the address 65.55.152.126: but I have no idea what that is. Later it showed an address of 195.46.253.233: Does anyone know if I can find out what that address refers to? I'd like to know if it is safe to allow ZA to give it access to the net. Apart from that, and a fire in my hat, I'm having a very nice day.:thanks |

| 681292 | 2008-06-23 04:58:00 | Zone Alarm shows you the install path of this software, did you install it? Does it need to go on the net to obtain updates? Or is it a net program of some sort? No? Then BLOCK IT. If you didn't even install it, run a malware scan? |

Then BLOCK IT. If you didn't even install it, run a malware scan? I don't recognise the name. My only recent installation is version 8 of AVG. After the installation I went and downloaded the latest updates, so I don't think it would be AVG. I have been running AVG for some years now but have never seen that name before. So, as you say, I should block it. Bantu: Thanks for that. Even so, I do not know why Microsoft would be doing that? Would have thought they would use a recognisable name. Thanks people. I shall steer clear.:thanks |
