2008-06-22 11:39:00 | Hi guys I have been having some frustrating problems and some advice would be appreciated before I call Vodafone and deal with them. The problem I've been with ihug broadband for about four years now. Up until a couple of months ago I was using the ADSL modem they supplied to me originally, a D-Link DSL200. The connection has always been rock solid with this modem and I've never had connection issues. I decided to upgrade to a Linksys WAG200G because I got a laptop from work and wanted wireless access. The WAG200G works fine outside of peak connection times (9.30 am - 5.50pm and 9.30 pm - 8.00 am). BUT during peak times the connection drops on and off constantly. It will drop every minute or two making it unusable. I've taken the WAG200G in to get checked out, but my guess is that there is nothing wrong with it because outside of peak times the connection is solid. I suspect that there may be something wrong with the connection itself, but the fact that my DSL200 never drops is a bit puzzling. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated. Justin

Justin I have bought and used modem SpeedTouch . 585[i] . v6and I have never ever experienced or have had any troubleshooting so far . So, it is better have a new SpeedTouch . 585[i] . v6 if it is available at your local markets . |

2008-06-22 23:45:00 | Try using the Wireless Router plugged into the DSL200. Keep the Desk Top PC plugged into the DSL200. You may get the best of both worlds!

2008-06-23 00:25:00 | Or something like a wireless phone, if you use one, in the house | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2008-06-23 10:35:00 | Or something like a wireless phone, if you use one, in the house I don't think it is. My desktop computer is connected to the modem/router by ethernet and that has the same problems with connecting. Wireless signals shouldn't interfere with that should they?
