| 413803 | 2005-12-19 01:19:00 | It might be a mysterious attitude to NZ'rs..the US doesn't seem to get all nervous (in the greater community anyway) about things that don't directly affect them. Since the hackers are for the most part invisible to the average beer drinker, football lovin' redneck, it doesn't get much airtime. Sometimes the quiet of the military exasperates me..they get to see all this stuff happening and yet they never let on like anything's wrong..anywhere! These little newsblurbs [read: planned "leaks"] are just saber-rattling I think. It's like: "We know your there and messing with our things, let's take this to the world forum in the form of a non-official press release and see if you pull back..at least a little......OK?" The only consideration one should make is that there's smoke there, there must be something incandescent! And remember this: the US is currently coddling the Chinese for trade and import/export sanctions offering them exclusivity. It would not be nice to kick them too hard under the circumstances. |

Just a little thrust and parry in the world of spy-vs-spy stuff. Bringing the note to the press in the form of a blurb is just the tip of the iceberg I think. There are very deep waters here that need another Nixon to throw oil on..(darned!.....ended a sentence with a preposition again!). |
