413588 2005-12-18 04:10:00 Do people plan for xmas or just let it be another day in the year?

do you plan present lists?

food lists?

drink lists?

Wangavegus..... weather needs a update.....

Hopefully the weather will clear and we may see the sun for a large portion of the day and spend it out of doors, at the grandparents house.
Not going to much fuss this year as been a stressful year and need to wind down not wind up.

so who has plans and what nice restful things do you do or going to do this time round?

or unrestful maybe cos xmas is always stressful no matter what.

and so what major presents do people want or hope to get?

ever hopeful......

:D

413589 2005-12-18 04:22:00 During Christmas, nothing. Its not worth it.

After Christmas, Father wants the family to go to China. Problem is he wants us to go during the Chinese new year. BAD IDEA. So now half of us arent going including me.
It seemed the last time my parents went back, we gave more money away to rellies than spending on ourselves. :angry

413593 2005-12-18 06:13:00 Son and partner come over and eat usually. Shes working this year and hasn't been told what hours yet so we don't know whether we are having breakfast, lunch, dinner or a midnight snack.
Pressies are given and thats it really. Then everyone gets bored, he'll go home and have some more beers, I'll probably um, have no idea.

413594 2005-12-18 06:34:00 Since the moon's in a good position and getting smaller, the trout and striped bass fishing will be crazy..so that's where I am gonna be.

My step-daughter just had a baby this morning, 8lb 9 oz, 22 1/2 inches long blond boy! ...and the hospital was crazy (the full moon has a lot to do with labor and child birth). This is my seventh grandchild. #7! Ye Gads! (That's for James!)

I worked as a biomedical tech for a large LA hospital for a few years as steam engineer and patient-electronics tech..and full moons were the nuttiest time for labor and gun fights and stabbings.

Back to where I am gonna be:

I am going to snow camp for a few days too..I love to go with my wife along with me and we stay overnight in a tent in the snow. It's cold..but wives are good heaters....we really enjoy that a lot and look forward to it a few times each winter...winter here is cold, summer is hot...backwards I know.

Cheers all..and may you be happy (and we usually say "warm" but that's just wrong for NZ I think..you are in your hot months now)

Don't drink and drive..'caus you might hit a bump and spill some! .....

413596 2005-12-18 06:46:00 Presents, silly.
You can call a Mercedes Benz a 'merc'
or a BMW a 'beama'

Basically we're too lazy when it comes to talking
