It came today at $242.76NZ about 43 hours entertainment 47 times one hour shows on 13 DVD's (in monochrome) that show keep me out of trouble for a while,

The opening credits were more like the ones I saw on TV many years ago.
unlike the Danger man DVD I brought locally with only 1/2 hour shows on 6 DVD's

The Email on December 27 said 10-14 “WORKING DAYS” to deliver. and it was right 12th working day.

413296 2006-01-11 03:54:00 Great, one of the best ever UK TV programs. You even get the whiff of "Lonely" coming out of the black and white TV at you :) Terry Porritt (14)
413297 2006-01-12 22:56:00 :) Odd, no one has yet pointed out that the character "Lonely" was from the series Callan, not Danger Man. :)

What I liked about Danger Man were the somewhat futuristic gadgets he had, like the remotely controlled glass cutter attached to a rubber sucker fired from a cross bow, then a tug on the cord and out came a neat circle of glass from the window in the opposite appartment. Another shot from the bow, and a line would be fired across, firmly embedded in the window sill, whereupon the intrepid hero would slide across on the wire over a busy thoroughfare and effect entry to the enemy agents room.

"Lonely" who's "Lonely"?

:) Callan,

Callan, wasn't that the program that had the swinging lamp on the opening credits and the lamp gets broken at the end of the opening credits .

413299 2006-01-14 22:51:00 That's right, Callan was played by Edward Woodward, a pretty tough character, ex-army, had served in Malaya, but suffering from a bit of inferiority complex because he was only from the working classes, whereas his colleague and arch rival 'Mears' played by Anthony Valentine was an 'upper class' agent.

Their controller was always called 'Hunter'.

Lonely was the rather smelly and unwashed wimpering character that Callan used to procure guns and ammo from the underworld, and carry out other procedures like breaking and entering.

413300 2006-01-15 19:48:00 I just loved Patrick Mcgoohan,that clipped way of speaking.

I see Woodwards son in quite a few programs.First one was as a world one war pilot.
