| 681202 | 2008-06-22 23:44:00 | Have always had probs with AVI files on this computer (can work with them in Pinnacle Studio ok) but Windows Explorer freezes or shuts when open any folders containing an AVI file. | 681203 | 2008-06-22 23:54:00 | Sounds like something maybe corrupted. Look in event viewer (if you use XP) for the time of the crash. Under application/system, on the left. Double click on the X entries. See if it points to the name of a file. Or click on the window that appears when it crashes (the little box on the bottom right I think). See if it shows a name of a file |

That file I've underlined. This looks like a windows file Have you scanned your system recently for viruses etc? Go to start/run, type sfc /scannow, put the XP / Windows CD in.
