681072 2008-06-22 09:00:00 I use a Panasonic DVD camcorder and recently i have bought a couple of DVD RAM discs. i usually rcord to DVD-R and then just rip the footage from the disc to edit it, but when i insert a DVD RAM disc and try to rip it it says that there is no disc in the disc drive. If i click on the disc drive from 'My computer' it also says that there is no disc inserted. I have tried to finalize the dick on the camera but it says that finalization isnt necissary for DVD RAM. Can anyone help me get my footage onto my PC? seanrichards1000 (13892)
681073 2008-06-22 09:02:00 Does the burner on the PC say it reads DVD-RAM??

It is a DVD writer, not a normal DVD or CD right?

Whats the model/brand of the DVD burner on the PC?

Also whats the DVD-RAM formatted in?? FAT32 (which it / XP can read) or UDF (you may need something else like INCD to read it)

Have you checked the make/model of your DVD drive to ensure it can read a DVD RAM disk?
