681046 2008-06-22 06:42:00 Know of any that work with MySQL and SQLLite or others when MySQL Starts Charging*

Should require no extras other than PHP and the above A or B Database so I can get it to go on more servers, last time someone gave me a list of three but it required custom addons.

I would be willing to pay between $50-$200 if someone could provide me just the url of a decent functioning application because it would save me $1200-$3000 worth of work to Build one.

[*Starting to look imminent?]

681047 2008-06-22 07:24:00 Why do I feel that a reply from somebody with 3 (or less) posts is imminent?

(If that is all wrong, I apologise in advance to Alpha150.)

681048 2008-06-22 08:42:00 Can you be a bit clearer about what you need? An 'application maker' doesn't really say much.

Note that MySQL has no plans whatsoever to charge, and if they did start to do so MySQL would be forked - meaning there will always be an opensource version.

...is a database abstraction layer for PHP, not an 'application maker'. I was assuming they meant something more along the lines of ironspeed (www.ironspeed.com).

I know, I thought he was talking about DB abstraction since "application maker" isn't very specific.

681053 2008-06-22 14:34:00 It's to Build a pseudo Iron Speed tool

When I studied at Media Design School back in 2003 some of us were told if you built automation tools you would be more valued in the industry

I ended up making a psuedo Iron Speed tool with ASP + Microsoft Access

ASP was becomming on decline though, and there was limited image manipulation generally with ASP so I built another one with PHP+MySQL.

I no longer have the tools and now spend most of my time on 'cryptography' but I was looking at doing some Web Development again.

I actually think a title Like PHPSQL would be better than SQLLite but that may be more in hindisight.

I do have a small amount of experience: 20 years with computers, written 550,000 Lines of code on 50+ projects and now assist more at international government level more in 'cryptography'.

Like my tutor said back 5 years ago 'What happens in the market will be determined by the market' or words to similar effect [Give or take the definition of the market].

681054 2008-06-22 15:15:00 It's to Build a pseudo Iron Speed toolYou cannot build something like ironspeed using an automated code generator - something like this needs to be written by hand, something you should be aware of, as you claim to have written such tools in the past.

When I studied at Media Design School back in 2003 some of us were told if you built automation tools you would be more valued in the industryDepends which area of the IT inductry you are working in. Sysadmins who can automate tasks are highly valued because they can get a hell of a lot done on a relatively small budget.

ASP was becomming on decline though, and there was limited image manipulation generally with ASP so I built another one with PHP+MySQL.Do you mean you wrote the tools using these languages, or that the tools generate ASP/PHP/SQL?

I no longer have the tools and now spend most of my time on 'cryptography' but I was looking at doing some Web Development again. You can do this in a text editor, or use something like Eclipse if you want full integrated debugging. Alternatively (depending on target market) go and buy a copy of Visual Studio 2005/2008.

I actually think a title Like PHPSQL would be better than SQLLite but that may be more in hindisight.SQLite is a lightweight, library-based implementation of an SQL RDBMS, it's not a part of PHP. PHP contains features that allow it to use SQLite, but so do many other languages.

681055 2008-06-23 03:05:00 Bletech please do not post in my posts again.
I feel you emotionally unpleasant because I see that you are not relying on metaphysical abstraction to abstract information to its intent.

Please just leave the posts, I really have internationally more important things than to play personal games: because that can just degrade life.
