| 413660 | 2005-12-18 04:32:00 | Hi, Will general facilities be open during next weekend i.e Dec 24th - Dec27th Planning on going places Taupou, Napier etc. Will motels be open together with other tourist attractions that normally happen. Any good place to head off to in North Island next weekend? Cheers |

| 413661 | 2005-12-18 04:38:00 | On the motels idea, they should be open but you may find that people pre book at these times to save the inconvenience of not finding a motel with rooms available. we have been booked up for over 6 months in advance, do emailing or ringing in advance of you going would be a good idea. food places should be open, and fast food places may even be open on xmas day in those places. most places only shut xmas or boxing days, or new years and day after. life goes on people live and work like normal. you may find some places just have shorter hours. half days or something, but tourist places will problably be open. beetle |
